When the tech world gathers at Europa-Park in Rust, it means only one thing: CloudFest time! And that means: innovations, exciting discussions, new trends – and of course plenty of rollercoasters. This year’s event was once again a colorful mix of groundbreaking technologies, inspiring presentations and the best opportunities for networking. With over 8,000 participants and more than 250 exhibitors, the trade fair was a true showcase for the digital elite. And right in the middle of it all: We from ResellerInterface, armed with specialist knowledge, curiosity and a good dose of fun!
AI: The new colleague in the server room – who never takes a vacation
Artificial intelligence was THE dominant theme of the event. From autonomous infrastructure services to smart data analysis and new security architectures – AI is now involved everywhere. Particularly exciting: AI-assisted DevOps and cloud-native AI applications designed to make our daily work easier.
But what is actually behind these terms?
AI-assisted DevOps means that AI-supported tools automate and optimize the development and operation of software. This ranges from automated error analyses and performance optimization to the autonomous elimination of problems in the infrastructure. In short: AI becomes a hard-working assistant that relieves the IT department and ensures greater efficiency – at least as long as it doesn’t get the idea of calling its own meetings.
Cloud-native AI applications are applications that have been specially developed for cloud environments and can be used optimally there. These programs are scalable, flexible and use the power of the cloud to process large amounts of data in real time. Whether personalized user experiences, predictive maintenance or smart automation – the possibilities are huge. Only one thing remains certain: AI will be faster than us, but hopefully not smarter!
In theory, we could soon be able to rely on AI to optimize code for us, fend off cyberattacks and answer emails at the same time. But will it also do our tax returns or provide us with fresh coffee in the morning? We remain skeptical. But one thing is certain: automation is picking up speed – and we are sitting in the front row!
Sustainability: green is the new black
Another major topic was the sustainable operation of data centers. Companies are increasingly recognizing that green IT is not only good for the environment, but also easy on the wallet. Efficient cooling, renewable energies and resource-saving hardware were high on the agenda. It seems that the industry is finally realizing that green technology can not only save trees, but also money. Did you know that we have been interested in sustainability for years? No? Then it’s about time!
Old acquaintances, new contacts & a wild rollercoaster ride
What would CloudFest be without networking? Whether it was talking shop at the stand, having a relaxed drink in the evening sun or during a heated discussion about the future of hosting on a rollercoaster – we met up with old friends, made exciting new contacts and took away some great ideas for the future.
And then there was our legendary team event: after a long day at the trade fair, we threw ourselves into the roller coasters at Europa-Park. Whether Silver Star or Blue Fire – we can confirm: Even in the IT industry, you can get pretty dizzy sometimes! Fortunately, our server stack is more stable than our stomachs after the third round of Voltron. Another real highlight for us? The spectacular EURid Dinner – an unforgettable experience for all the senses.

Conclusion: Off to new shores
CloudFest 2025 has shown that the future of the domain and hosting industry remains exciting. With AI as a new colleague, sustainable data centers as the standard and a strong network, we are facing exciting times. We are already looking forward to next year – and until then, stay curious and open to the digital adventures that lie ahead!
